We are overjoyed to be working with St George's Church in Ramsgate on their annual Spring Parades in the lead up to their 200th Anniversary.

Our connection to the Ramsgate community runs deep. Our Samba band, Samba Ya Wantsum, is based here, as is our Creative Director, Teresa Askew, and artist Director, Jimmy Edwards, who joined our actitivities in the town when he was just a young boy and has grown with us, as have many of our participants here.

The 2025 parade took place on Sunday 27 April, following the Spring service in the church. 

 

St George's Church Regeneration Officer, Jemima Brown, said:

'We are now in Year 3 of Project 200, in the lead up to the 200th Anniversary of St George’s Church in 2027. It was wonderful to have so many people coming together as a community for our 3rd Annual St George’s Spring Parade and it’s been fantastic to work with GB Carnival again.'
